badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I though you might get a kick outta that.

Jun 28, 2004, 10:34 PM

hey, I voted for Dukakis once. ONCE.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he only ran for national office ONCE :)***

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah, don't remind me...

Jun 28, 2004, 10:36 PM

had the pic of him in the tank on my bulletin board.

:(

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I didn't read it.

Jun 28, 2004, 10:37 PM [ in reply to I though you might get a kick outta that. ]

Therefore, no comment on it.

Buwahahahaha.

I just can't believe what that guy said about you. ;)

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well you DO have scruples.

Jun 28, 2004, 10:41 PM

I'm impressed.

btw, I'm taking a page from the redneck yukfest Johnboy & Billy...

I'm gonna buy a ticket for White Chicks and sneak in to see Moore a mania on Thursday.

and post a "movie review".. you know one of my specialties... with the bad analogies, corny metaphors, and "..." and more "..."

although by that time... we'll have moved on to something else.

i'm waiting for his divorce records

Jun 28, 2004, 10:35 PM

Those should be fun. I hate to admit, but if those are released, I'm Googling them.

Should be interesting.

Jun 28, 2004, 10:39 PM

While you're over there, Google the name "James R. Bath" too.

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

oil partners yeah, but were they married too :)***

Did you see who Bath worked for? Talk about

Jun 28, 2004, 11:16 PM

"partners"! lol

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Arbusto? Texas National Guard

Jun 28, 2004, 11:24 PM

Didn't do an indepth search, but how unusual is it for former military guys to go into business together. Sure he had Saudi connections, but what oil guy didn't in the days of the Texas boom. If I wanted to go into oil, I'd be sure to find a Saudi connection too!

James R. Bath was employed by

Jun 28, 2004, 11:27 PM

the bin Laden family.

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

now understand it that Osama didn't...

Jun 28, 2004, 11:34 PM

Osama didn't go nutso Wahabist until the Soviets invaded Afganistan, and that he was the only wing of the family to go so nutso. The rest of the family ran was amounted to the Saudi version of Haliburton construction.

I think that's accurate. No argument.

Jun 28, 2004, 11:37 PM

I still think's it's fascinating though.

I would have liked to have seen what would have happened to Clinton had 9/11 happened on his watch and it was later discovered that he had worked with the guy who was formerly employed by the bin Laden family. That would have been interesting.

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

true, but remember a little history

Jun 28, 2004, 11:41 PM

It's kinda of funny these occurences, but I love seeing those old pre World War I photos of royal family pictures of the Tsar, British Royals and German Royals - all related. Another one of my favorites is Winston Churchill in 1910 taking advice from the Kaiser in a photo.

Those were the days when you wars were NOT fought unless you had a personal connection with the other side.

Agreed. And there's one word that explains it all:

Jun 28, 2004, 11:42 PM

Money.

badge-ringofhonor-elscorcho.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

read any book by Niall Ferguson

Jun 28, 2004, 11:45 PM

Go to Amazon and search on Oxford History prof. Niall Ferguson, author of books about the British Empire and America today. The thesis in all is that it is impossible to conduct a nation state unless your money lenders are on friendly terms.

Seems that you don't fight many conflicts unless your money lenders are on your side. Hence he wrote a book abou the Rothschild family.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Did anyone notice, this is in the HOF now?

Jun 29, 2004, 9:50 AM

I'll take that as a referendum on Bush beating Kerry.

or everyone kissing up to Cobb in hopes of getting a free book.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

ClemsonJeff just liked it.***
