I'm impressed.
btw, I'm taking a page from the redneck yukfest Johnboy & Billy...
I'm gonna buy a ticket for White Chicks and sneak in to see Moore a mania on Thursday.
and post a "movie review".. you know one of my specialties... with the bad analogies, corny metaphors, and "..." and more "..."
although by that time... we'll have moved on to something else.

While you're over there, Google the name "James R. Bath" too.

Arbusto? Texas National Guard

Didn't do an indepth search, but how unusual is it for former military guys to go into business together. Sure he had Saudi connections, but what oil guy didn't in the days of the Texas boom. If I wanted to go into oil, I'd be sure to find a Saudi connection too!

Osama didn't go nutso Wahabist until the Soviets invaded Afganistan, and that he was the only wing of the family to go so nutso. The rest of the family ran was amounted to the Saudi version of Haliburton construction.

I think that's accurate. No argument.

I still think's it's fascinating though.
I would have liked to have seen what would have happened to Clinton had 9/11 happened on his watch and it was later discovered that he had worked with the guy who was formerly employed by the bin Laden family. That would have been interesting.

It's kinda of funny these occurences, but I love seeing those old pre World War I photos of royal family pictures of the Tsar, British Royals and German Royals - all related. Another one of my favorites is Winston Churchill in 1910 taking advice from the Kaiser in a photo.
Those were the days when you wars were NOT fought unless you had a personal connection with the other side.

read any book by Niall Ferguson

Go to Amazon and search on Oxford History prof. Niall Ferguson, author of books about the British Empire and America today. The thesis in all is that it is impossible to conduct a nation state unless your money lenders are on friendly terms.
Seems that you don't fight many conflicts unless your money lenders are on your side. Hence he wrote a book abou the Rothschild family.
