Little Gaines

Got a story for you guys.. I work at Walmart in the photo center in Greenwood, South Carolina. I saw a young lady and her little boy walking up to my checkout lane and I knew something was odd. She was wearing a Chicago Bears hat and shirt and when the little boy came closer I saw Gaines Adams. Just a "little" smaller than he was. I asked the lady if she was a Chicago fan and if she knew Gaines Adams. She smiled and pointed at the little boy and said "that's his son." I can't explain what I felt at that moment when the little guy looked up at me. I was really saddened to see such a little guy so young to lose his father but I was also happy to see Gaines again with a smile on his face. I thought you guys would like this. It certainly made my day and I couldn't help but to think that if Da'Quan doesn't retire #93 that just maybe I was looking at a Future Clemson DE that could wear the name Adams and dominate defenses once again. I live in greenwood myself and i see his family all the time, my little cousin use to play and get laid out by him for 3 years at Cambridge. We knew Gaines and his family from the games really sad to not see him anymore.
