Thank you Brian Jordan and Eddie Perez for your great careers and for representing the Braves with class and integrity on and off the field.
Thank you Rafael Furcal for six years of being one of the best leadoff men in the game. Good luck in Chicago or New York.
Thank you Andruw Jones for having the year we all knew you could.
Thank you Chipper Jones for being a superlative leader, even when you couldn't play.
Thank you Johnny Estrada for taking that hit and trying to make a comeback.
Thank you Marcus Giles for playing the game with unrivaled enthusiasm.
Thank you John Smoltz for doing what no one said you could do and for being the greatest man in baseball.
Thank you to Jeff Francoeur for mobilizing a stagnant fan base.
Thank you to the rest of the rookies for doing things that should have been impossible.
Thank you Tim Hudson for a great year and a great Game 4.
Thank you to the rest of the rotation for your desire to be out there, even when you couldn't, or shouldn't have been.
Thank you Kyle Farnsworth for being perfect except for one night.
Thank you to the rest of the bullpen for not quitting, and for seven plus innings of two-hit ball.
Thank you John Schuerholz for the Tim Hudson trade and sign, and for the Jorge Sosa deal.
Thank you Bobby Cox for taking a team that should have finished last and finishing first for the 14th straight year.
Thank you 2005 Atlanta Braves for 90 gritty wins. Thank you for going toe to toe with a better team and coming up just short in the greatest postseason game of all time. Thank you for a blast from the past and a glimpse into the future.
Thank you for a year I'll never forget.

stinks; but I'm a Braves fan till the bitter end, no matter what. I've loved the Atlanta Braves from day one thru good and bad - just like the Clemson Tigers. So in the end it really doesn't matter how they perform on the field - I still love 'em just the same.

Go Braves - you'll get 'em next year!
