recent football National Championships - LSU, us, Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia.

Oh, wait!! Georgia's was 40 YEARS AGO now. But to hear their fans and the sports people here in Atlanta talk, you'd swear it was within the past few years. Some national power they are!!

They had the honor of losing to Bama in a title game, so maybe they’re just happy for coming close like chicken fans?

The coots are the same way. They have won 1 conference championship in over 100 years. Yet, if you listen to them, they are relevant in college football. They are a pathetic excuse for a football program.

I just like how we have three since UGa's. And Bama has about 6 but knowing them they claim about 12 over that time period

.....more Nattys than Clemson in the last 50 years:

Bama............8
Miami...........5
Oklahoma........4
Southern Cal....4

These schools have as many titles in the last 50 years as Clemson:

FSU, LSU, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State.

Some of the titles for some of the teams on this list were shared with another team or two.


It would be very nice to win our next title soon and to break out of the logjam of teams with 3 titles in the recent past. Titles from more than 50 years ago seem ancient now.
