No explanations, is Brownell the current right coach for Clemson basketball?
Personal vote, no.

And subsequent search for another coach, so..... right coach for this time? Yeah. If we weren’t cutting sports and had the opportunity to fill a stadium, then no

Can you afford not to? IF, and that's a big IF, they don't

turn it around and miss the tourney, then there will be even less excitement going into next year. If the Covid crap is lifted before next season and crowds will be back I think you have to create some buzz to get as large of crowds as possible. He blows it this year, and attendance next year will probably hit an all time low.

Brownell is making $2.5 big ones for this annual bed-wetting. Another $1.5M gets you coaches who actually have won the NCAA and whose teams don’t annually regress as the season progresses.
We can find $1.5M in the couch cushions at the football complex.

He only has 3 years on his contract so we’re kind of in no man’s land. Normally the argument is that the coach has to have an extension or it negatively impacts recruiting. I can’t see anyway to justify extending his contract. If covid provides cover to give him another year without extension so be it. But we all know how this story ends. Some of us knew it much sooner than others.

Like football or like he just treated track, because this ACC-program-on-the-cheap strategy ain’t working.

So current count at 6 yes to 3 no. Didn't count any that suffered from lack of reading comprehension. No explanation just a simple yes or no.

Perhaps instead of wasting money on a coaching we should recruit a bagman who works for a shoe company like Duke and UNC or have hookers like UL or take a bunch of juco players with no academic skills like Wichita st? All are better options than changing coaches.

Yes
because covid and he won at UNC.
Before it happened, people were offering a lifetime contract for beating UNC.
As long as the talent level continues to improve/stay high and results improve year to year, I'm fine with him.
