Yep, I think coaches just wanted to roll out our plays gradually to prevent other teams from figuring us out down the stretch. Probably using only 60% of the playbook right now.
Then you look at Notre Dame who had wake forest well in hand late in the game and was still using cute plays. Why put that on film for future opponents if you don’t have to?
I agree they are somewhat limiting the playbook. But opening it up enough that we are confident and capable of running these plays when we really need them. I’m sure there are variations on plays we are seeing now that will take advantage of defenses that think they know our playbook. I think we will have a varied attack that will force defenses to choose their poison as the season progresses.
