NO FLAME - Is the SEC now guaranteed at least 2 teams in playoffs..

That is a 100% honest question.

I honestly do not see any way that the West and East SECCG participants are left out. Am I wrong?

Could 3 from the SEC get in? Think about it.

If Clemson goes undefeated they are in.

Does the Big 12 winner get in? You seen how they have done recently?

See what I am saying?

Crazy times!

Probably add Notre Dame in the mix too.

Well, hopefully if things go as we plan, Clemson beat ND twice which kicks them out. If things play as currently expected, I would assume 1 from Big12, 1 from ACC ( Hopefully Clemson), then yes I guess based on history, we would almost have to assume a SEC team as 4th. I guess there is chance they bumped playoffs to an 8man playoff to gain more
football there would be potentially others like USF, UCF, etc that make it.

Too bad there won’t be a playoff, so hypotheticals are a moot point

But of course with only 3 conferences playing the SEC would get 3 spots if not all 4, it just means more

Nothing in football is guaranteed. Ever. You should know this since that horrendous loss to the coots.

"Champion" begins with a "C," and it's for courage, as in courage to play the game. So the asterisk will mean the champ is extra courageous.

...and then I said the "C" also stands for Clemson.

One thing is for sure. Since Ohio state can’t get in and now

The mighty Washington, USC, California can’t get in, a lot of good teams won’t be able to make it this year. So some conference, Sec is one of them, mathematically will have to get two.

Two maybe but certainly not three IMO

and depending upon what Notre Dame does, two may be a stretch.

As an example, if Clemson falls to the Bee Bee Heads in South Bend but then defeats Notre Dame in the ACCCG, and both teams are 9 - 1/10 - 1, both Clemson and Notre Dame may get in.

I haven't looked at Oklahoma's schedule but I think Georgia and Florida will each lose at least two games.

Consequently, the CFP could be Clemson, Notre Dame, Bama and OU.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

With Big10 Pac12 MAC etc probably playing in the spring...

will there be another playoff for those teams? Are we going to have dual Natl Champs for 2020-21 school year?

what about the aac they have been begging for a chance to get a team in the cfp and now they have chance with teams like Ucf. Cincy and Memphis if one of them goes undefeated.

Guaranteed? No. They have to win their way in. However, they now stand a better chance of two.

As for Clemson, I believe the measuring stick goes back to normal. Winning out should not not be a requirement (just as it wasn’t in 3 other CFB appearances).

Since the PAC12 & Big10 can't play until after January 1st,

all their teams will be undefeated, so surely at least one will make the playoff!

Wouldn't matter if they did , Clemson is better than any team in the SEC this year . That is how I feel about it anyway . There's no QB in the SEC as good as Lawrence , and probably not as good as our backup either . Ettiene is the best RB in America at full participation , and or Defense is going to be better despite the losses .
I wouldn't place any bets on anyone to beat this Tiger edition in the 2020/2021 season .
Too bad it all got jacked up .

A one loss ACC team gets in if it is Clemson or ND ..... or any other one loss ACC team if they beat Clemson or ND for the ACC Championship.

Honestly, I will be surprised if 2 teams in the sec end up with less than 2 losses. Remember that we are talking about the MIGHTY sec. They play 10 conf games and the gauntlet will be too much for any team to get through with only 1 loss. I see the 4 playoff teams, all with 1 loss, being Clemson, ND, Ok, and Texas. As weak as everyone says the ACC is, unc may be in 5th place with 1 loss.

GO TIGERS!
