I think it’s because the covid rule, too many linebackers on the roster with everyone coming back. Then you add the two we have coming in. I expect to see more transfer out. Bentley has played great when he has had chances. Patterson, Maguire, Allen, and Swint are all young 4 stars. With skalski, Spector, venables, and Simpson all coming back not much room there. Then you add trotter and carter, I think jones left just to make room for others.

I’d have expected Jake Venables to be handing out Gatorade after the first Notre Dame game last year. 319 snaps over 9 games is A LOT with who he had playing behind him. I don’t care that he was credited with 45 tackles; he was lost on film all season long.
