In 1993 Notre Dame beat FSU. At the time FSU was ranked #1. Notre Dame moved to #1. The following week Notre Dame lost to Boston College. FSU and Notre Dame ended the season with 1 loss. FSU was awarded the National Title. Anyway, the playoff is so much better now.

I also remember the one point win that ND had over Miami that year they won the NC. I was mad about that too. I can’t believe it was so long ago.
