The flame units will be fired as the team enters the field to the traditional “2001: A Space Odyssey” theme that has become synonymous with Gamecock Football.
“We believe this will be the most explosive team entrance in college football,” said Nichols.
“The University of South Carolina is the only NCAA team currently utilizing these effects for football games on this scale,” said Justin Pruett, Show Producer for Pyrotecnico FX. “Use of this type of equipment is more often seen across the NFL.”
Approximately 200-man hours were dedicated to the design, building and testing of the on-field towers, according to Pruett.
“What makes a great entrance is everything that South Carolina does when they come out of that tunnel,” said SEC Network analyst Matt Stinchcomb. “They’ve got a fantastic soundtrack in the Space Odyssey. The fans get wound up and they’re into it. It’s got really everything you’re looking for in a great entrance. It’s almost as if wrestling took its cue from South Carolina.”
For safety reasons, some on-field adjustments will be made for those individuals on the field during the team entrance, including VIPs, recruits, media, the band and cheerleaders.

That is what the Coots are doing . It's a little sad and a lot of funny . Fizzle fizzle .
6 or 7 months of getting this stinker together and they fail with the Alpha demo ?
They're a North Korean missle test . They're a Titanic , a Hindenburg .
That last comparison is a little unfair based on the fact that the Hindenburg actually burned .
They should put some of that SEC money together and hire a couple of Clemson engineers to sort that birdseed out .

The " flame units " . Kind of says it all when your talking about USuC football .
They play like their units are on fire . They have the fire extinguishers going off before the " flame units " partly ignite . The fact that they don't even understand the basics of fire prevention techniques tells me that the City of Columbia Fire Marshall probably Coots with the best of them .

I noticed something was missing on their entrance video but couldn't quite put my finger on it. After watching it again I figured it out. There are no photos of Spurrier leaving halfway through it.
