Nothing is more exciting than being at Clemson on game day. Many of us count the days until the next home game. Games assemble friends and families from all parts of the country ... young and old. It’s been that way since I saw my first Tiger game in 1960. On a much larger scale today!
One thing that is dramatically different today from those early games is, today, gameday is supervised by the Sheriffs Patrol carrying assault rifles. Every time I walk into the stadium I say to myself “what has gone wrong in this great country?” Is there no escape from this insanity? Is there an answer for this insanity. I have no answers.
