This guy is an Asian American.
Not sure what to say about this beyond the obvious.
The vast majority of Americans watch sports to escape politics, social issues, and/or sometimes reality.
ESPN originally began as a medium that made that escape more obtainable only to morph into an institution that goes out of their way to support this progressive PC madness. Each time a company, institution, or network sets a precedent like this, it resets the baseline at an all new level of eggshell walking absurdity.

I immediately thought fake news as soon as I read it, but subsequently ESPN issued the following statement.
“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name. In that moment it felt right to all parties. It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play by play for a football game has become an issue.”
It's all too real friends.
