Big "C" update from the old man hisself....

Well, I had my sixth chemo last Wednesday, and "The Juice" pulled me down Saturday. I'm weak as water, but know what's going on and will/can deal with it.
Gonna get an x-ray and maybe some fluid drained off the lung cavity next Monday. Then, a CT with contrast medium on Tuesday and Wednesday we meet with the Dr. to get the results and see how we proceed from there.
I know there are some on here--Chesty P among others--dealing with issues like me and they are in my prayers as well. Sandy has held up pretty good this past six weeks or so, and the anticipation of what may or may not be is tough on her.
Your thoughts and prayers for us are really appreciated. I'm going to be fine, regardless.
Keep each other in your prayers daily. Best thing we can ever do.

Just an idea. You say weak as water, and all I can think of are images like the Colorado flowing through the Grand Canyon, flash floods after heavy rains, big waves to surf upon.. perhaps you've got that strength in you too. Hang in there buddy

You got this, nothing to do but power through it. I went through Lung Cancer treatment myself last year, 30 rounds of radiation and 10 rounds of Chemo. I was diagnosed with stage 3B, large tumor in my left lung and it had spread to the lymph nodes in my chest and neck. They do amazing things nowadays with this disease and I will pray for a quick recovery. My scans have looked good but they can't seem to get the fluid from collecting, I have been getting it drained once a month for the past 4-5 months, small price to pay and I am grateful for it.
If you ever have any questions about what I went through I would be happy to chat with you, or if you just want to talk to someone who went through it.

Hang in there, buddy. The one title I doubt any of ever thought we would have is "cancer survivor", but I'm proud to be one. Life throws us all some pretty crazy curves and surely I didn't expect to be diagnosed at 56 and again at 58, but I am here as a survivor and my prayers go out to you and anyone else dealing with this disease as well as those the love them and suffer along side them.
