Basketball vs Football

Guys, remember why we like football so much--because you can knock the crap out of the players on the other team! Basketball was designed to be a pantywaist game played indoors by a bunch of sissies who do not want to be touched--how ridiculous!

So...if you're going to let guys beat and bang under the boards, why do the refs call so many "touch" fouls out front? ( My favorite fouls are the ones where the defender either gets all ball, or doesn't touch the offensive player at all! ) It could be that I just don't like the inconsistency of basketball officiating...
