The playoff selection poll should be computer generated by a program designed before the season begins and data entered weekly....other polls should not be a factor....only committees poll will count but only a small percentage. The program shouldbe designed to keep conference affiliat ion out if the mix. The bowls should submit their payout each year for the following year. The highest 2 gets the final four. Then after that they can choose in order what pairing they want for their bowl. For example.....if the cotton bowl has the 3rd highest payout bid...they get the first pick of teams already paired by ranking. If oregon and osu were 5&6 and texas am and lsu were 7&8 they could pass over oregon and osu and take texas am & lsu. The only time teams will not be paired consecutively is if they are from the same conference or played during the regular season. This year...tcu and baylor would not play because they were from big 12 and already played. #5 baylor would play # 7 miss state in the highest bidding bowl after the final four. Look through the polls and tell me these match ups wouldnt be fun. Scrap the tie in....bowl will put up to get better picking order and how you play on the field and the competition you schedule will determine what bowl you go to. This will also be more fun for fans.....this way you dont go tonthe same bowls over and over.
