and told them it would not look good to be caught with something on their device that would embarrass them, me or their mother. B/c in today's world, if they are caught with said stuff, it will spread like wildfire in the blink of an eye. Everyone will know immediately.

evidence from the device. But the router logs all their connections. Plus use a DNS family filter (OpenDNS) as well. Router can forward DNS requests per MAC address/device. I can check on them any time, but usually don't. I get an email if they go to a banned website. Good enuff for me.

Now when they get a cell phone, with a Verizon signal, I'll have to get more creative.

He kept falling asleep in class a few weeks ago and teacher told us. Found a long-lost pad under his pillow. He was playing Minecraft until midnight. We're still good. Waiting on the day when he graduates to Call of Duty and pRon.

something like that that allows the parent/guardian to see what's going on, some level of control, etc...while still allowing the kid to have 'their own' account and stuffs

it allows me to single out or group all the devices on the network, and either prioritize them, or turn'em off.
I haven't set up a schedule for the kids yet, but I'm thinking I'll have to do that soon

Got two old ipads and an old Galaxy Tablet. They argue because there are different games on each one. Only one of them is really worth a shid (tablets, not kids) and that is the one they really want. I refuse to buy those asspensive things for kids under teenage years.
