He quits mid season leaving them with a losing team. Then they're dumb enough to hire him back for 6 figures to be an ambassador to do the stuff he said he hated doing when he was coaching.

Then Florida offers him up the same gig, and he can't get out of Columbia fast enough to get to Florida.

That represents the highlight of his coaching career at USC. Beating us 5 in a row. Height of coot football altogether maybe. He got them to a solid top 10-15 team.

Seems like a lot of fans enjoy his joking or whatever it is. I think he is all about himself and that is it.

No doubt he can coach - just glad he never coached a team I pull for.

it's truly the second-best achievement in their football program's history - just behind that incredible 1969 ACC Championship (loudly proclaimed on the Willie-Brice facade).

Today's Coots will be telling their grandkids someday about the glory days when they beat Clemson 5 times in a row.

SEC channel was doing a story on Spurrier on Sunday and there is video of him saying ‘when I was a kid the worst thing you could call someone was a loser or a quitter.’
