Leave the country, at least.
I don't know, probably just mildly grumble and go on about my life. But it would suck.

I feel the same way about Obama. We can't stand looking at or listening to the Racist In Chief. Trump ain't exactly our cup of tea ... we voted for Carson ... but Obama proved that anybody can be President. Clinton will surely accelerate the decline of the Republic through promoting class and race warfare, and the Constitution will become irrelevant when she appoints at least two more libs to the SCOTUS. As an economist, I think that the US is headed for an economic collapse regardless of who is in the WH, and we will become like Cuba, Argentina and Venezuela ... where everybody is poor. Unfortunately, nothing can stop what's coming!

if Clinton gets elected I will pray for our country.
best thing everyone can do is pray that we can survive 4 years of either and hopefully our country will get its head out of its ### by next election.

Not sure of a worse scenario of choice for me
Jul 20, 2016, 8:50 AM
|
|
The socialist (Bernie), the corrupt liberal (Hillary), the establishment rino's (Jeb, Graham, etc.), the conservatives (Cruz, Carson, Jindal, Fiorina, etc.), and Trump. That's how the choices started out. I had an ideal candidate and 2-3 more in the conservative camp. They lost. As did the rino's (predictably), which left Trump, ugh. On the dem side the dems chose corruption over socialism, whatever.
The issues are becoming less and less important over the character of those who are chasing power no one should be allowed to wield. Our problems are more structural in Washington now than issue oriented. And I can think of no two worse candidates who would amass and/or abuse power and ignore the Constitution more than Hillary and Trump.
Trump may surprise me, since politically he's actually a bigger enigma than Obama was. We knew where Obama stood and that was just hidden. With Trump there is no real track record in politics, so he really is an enigma. Given Trump's resume, I do not hold high hopes for him doing the right thing.
The answer to our problems is out there. It will find us, if/when we're willing to look.

'The answer to our problems is out there.' I strongly disagree with that. Our government is too powerful and big to change. America has a one way ticket.

We have pulled back from the brink before. Several times

in fact. We have been in this much danger (and more) of capitulation in the past. But you are right in that at least in the past leaders were educated enough to know the answer and we have always fixed ourselves to various extents, by letting people control their own lives as much as possible.
And there are people in Washington that know the answer. They have no power BECAUSE they know the answer, but they're there. They are waiting for America to wake up and understand that no one in Washington can come close to improving your life as much as you can improve your own.
There are two people in Washington right now (issues again notwithstanding) who I know understand the problem and the solution. Senators Mike Lee and Ted Cruz both understand the problem. Mark Levin also understands the problem. And I can hear thousands right now complaining about their positions on this and that issue. But no matter your views on THEIR positions, they understand the structural problem supersedes our political/issue problems.
There are far too many people willing to be led who do not see the danger in doing this.
Washington will never make America great again. No President will ever make America great again. Trump will never make America great again. Only Americans can make America great again, and no power-hungry politician will ever tell that to the voters because that doesn't buy votes. It's ironic, but for a President to make America great again, he has to make Americans understand that he is not the source of greatness, but it's the people. And that is the difference between Ronald Reagan and every other President of my lifetime.
