Never had quite seen this before on Tucker Carlson

I've always particularly detested Tucker Carlson - he was obviously a smirking frat boy with barely-concealed contempt for his own audience, an elitist who pretends to hate elitists, parading forth an endless series of Straw Men that he then endlessly whumped away on to the delight of his audience. Long before he got called out (and lost his sh!t) on his own show for being a "millionaire funded by billionaires" by Rutger Bregman, who famously told the billionaires at Davos that they needed to pay more taxes, I had more than gotten the sense he reveled in being a Derp Whisperer.
His game's always been pretty obvious, as it is with almost all of Rupert Murdoch's outlets. No, no...don't look at the way folks like us and our families gamed the system, climbed the ladder of success, and then sawed the rungs out behind us so no one can follow us up...instead, look over here. The problem is immigrants. The problem is gays. The problem is transexuals. The problem is (gasp!)...Socialism.
And it works. Regrettably, it works. It's been working for years.
What I didn't realize, though, was how consciously Tucker has been playing this game, and how he's been doing it his whole life. I didn't know Carlson was an heir to the Swanson Foods fortune. I didn't know he'd admitted on tape that he was one of the elite, looking from his castle across the moat at the peasants and realizing they had to be controlled and misled. (These are his own words!) And the sad part is, even most of his audience wouldn't care if they knew, because he tells them what they want to hear.
But man. That is pretty savage game. He really is up there with Steve Bannon for having a forked tongue. It'd be almost admirable if it wasn't so incredibly despicable and destructive and divisive.
Vox did a really good bit on that a year or so ago than I stumbled across yesterday. (Yes, Vox is very leftist, though often thought-provoking.) But the video pretty much speaks for itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNineSEoxjQ&feature=emb_title

He went after Sidney Powell pretty hard a couple nights ago, I was surprised.

Yeah, but I really got the sense he went after Powell because she wouldn't come on his show, IMHO.
The segment was pretty revealing. He pretty much said: "hey, I even give credence to UFO sightings...and I was willing to give you a whole night...heck, a whole week!" (And here his voice sort of morphs.) "But you WOULDN'T TAKE MY CALL!"
(At which point he seems to have went all Norman Bates and whipped out the knife while that creepy old Dinosaur Jr. song played in the background. "WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME?!?!?!?")
Tucker does not seem to be handling the Trump camp's ongoing transition to an as-yet-to-be-named Other Network that Trump himself intends to own very gracefully.

Re: and he's apparently catching hell from Trumpies***

Which is particularly ironic because Team Trump turned around and jettisoned Powell yesterday.
Apparently she was stepping all over Rudy's crazy. Couldn't have that.
Might be too late for Tucker and Fox, though. The exodus to the safe spaces of Parler, OAN, and Newsmax seems to have well and truly begun in earnest and once the herd changes direction it's about as hard as a bunch of shambling dinosaurs to get turned around again.
Ultimately nobody owns the angry mob, and the Derp Whisperers like Tucker that think they do should probably remember that turning the angry mob against the rich is the easiest play in populism. All they do is gin them up and get them all crazy-like and there is no telling what witches and castles they ultimately burn.

You really put all these four items together in a similar way????
The problem is immigrants, gays, transexuals, Socialism.
On the surface that is quite bizzare. I've heard plenty of people suggest there are problems with immigration, illegal immigrants, immigrants that commit crime etc. Can't say I have ever heard/read similar issues surrounding gays and transexuals.
