a few scenarios that will keep Bama out of the playoff

These scenarios are assuming Ohio State wins out and Clemson wins out

1. Auburn Beats Bama
2. LSU loses to UGA in the SEC championship in a close game. Both 1 loss LSU goes over Bama
3. Oregon wins out. Winning out would include a top 10 win over Utah to win the Pac-12.
4. Baylor wins out. Undefeated Baylor with wins of oklahoma and Texas will leap frog Bama
5. Oklahoma wins out. A one loss Big 12 champ Oklahoma with wins over Baylor and Texas will leap frog Bama
6. Undefeated Minnesota loses a close big 10 championship game. In that scenario Minn would have wins over Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa

Any others?

Or the committee will say, above all things mentioned, “we think” bama is better and put them 4.

Utah winning out would have the same effect as Oregon winning out...a 12-1 Pac 12 Champ.

I looked at the schedule a couple days back and I think Utah had UCLA, Arizona, and Colorado left...all of whom have just 4 wins each. Oregon had just Arizona and Arizona State (5-4), so the only (barely) winning team either squad will play until the likely Pac 12 Championship Game is Oregon at Arizona State.

One or both will probably win out.

I also think we get either Baylor with 0 or 1 losses or Oklahoma with just 1 loss winning the Big 12.

In any of those scenarios Alabama doesn't make it.
