loser? really? what have YOU accomplished that brings about this kind of post? ever taken a team (3 teams actually) to the NCAA tourney? coached at cameron indoor? beaten the likes of coach K, Boeheim, or Pitino? didnt think so!

If you find some homerun hire would come to Clemson.. go for it. If there is no one available like that, then you wait another year. I know it is a Bowden-esque excuse to say "A few plays away" but this team was really close this year. Learning to finish games is a culture that must be built though... and it needs to happen soon.

Brownell comes back, but only because of his buyout and an NIT berth. If he misses an NCAA bid next year he should be asked to resign or be fired despite his ACC record over his tenure. Twenty wins must be our expectation.

who's been a staunch Brownell supporter up until this year).
The problem with the way the team has played the last week is that we know they've been capable of this all season and for whatever reason(s), be it coaching, lack of defensive-minded players, team chemistry, haven't.
The problem with BB sticking around is I don't see this team improving next year.
We've got an exciting young nucleus of guys in Thomas, Reed, and Mitchell, but we lose a solid guard in Holmes, a good defensive presence at center with Djitte, and our best player in Blossomgame. I don't see Grantham stepping up to fill the void (even though he's physically capable). I think next year's team would be lucky to make the NIT.
