Wayne Gallman is the toughest RB at Clemson since...

Clemson has had some pretty good backs in the last 20 years, especially Ellington, Spiller, Harper, and Davis but Gallman runs between the tackles better than any of those guys I think.

Ellington was an awesome 'scat' back who slipped past tackles and could catch anything, Spiller was a home run hitter from anywhere on the field (Still the best all around player i've ever seen at Clemson), Harper was a 225 lb. 'twinkle toes' who went down to the turf usually on the first touch, and Davis was a good 'one-cut and go' type of runner.

But Gallman is just a tough SOB!

Chad Jasmin...I know he wasn't a superstar but I loved watching him hit the hole with bad intentions.

Harper doesn't belong in the same sentence as Spiller, Davis, Ellington, or our newly entered Gallman, though. If we are talking recent RB's, I'd rather have Reggie Merriweather or even Hot rod over Harper.

He's up there with the best. Don't forget Kenny Flowers. And, those old enough to remember Buddy Gore and Ray Yauger.
