http://www.hooch.net/these-are-the-worst-college-football-coaches-of-all-time/28/These Are The Worst College Football Coaches Of All-Time Before Jim Harbaugh showed up to Stanford, the Cardinal were mired in losing season after losing season. However, within two years under his coaching, they were considered National Championship contenders. Do you remember the name of the coach who nearly wrecked the program, though? His name was Walt Harris, and his tenure with Stanford was nothing short of a disaster. He's one of the worst college football coaches of all-time, and he's in "good company" on this list. To see where he falls among the worst of the worst, you'll have to stick around.

(Kevin Steele)
Odd that so many of them cycled through 'Bama, Tennessee, and Michigan.
Odd too that the URL's lead back to the front-page for the graphic even though they lead to the proper coaches (Muschamp and Steele).

Hootie Ingram and Ken Hatfield should be on the list.

One of the best OCs in football history but the worst HC is Lane Kiffen.

Bad list, for example, Mike London was not

that bad. UVA was already bad. Al Groh is the one who should be on the list. Similarly, a Northwestern or Indiana coach has nothing to ruin. Ron Zook and Will Muschamp ruined something.

Bad, bad bad list.
They should look at coaches that took good/great programs, cheated or did other un-productive things, and then derailed the program for 20 years. Cheating at bad programs with worse results is kinda easy.
Not in any order... save this one: Paterno/Sandusky Combo. Don't care, they are the worst. Period.
I would add these... but my memory is skewed for post 2000. Rich Rodriguez: See Michigan Butch Davis: See Miami/UNC Pete Carroll: USC Hugh Freeze: Ol Miss (but did he really damage them that much?)
Honorable Mention or tbd: Dubose/Francione Bammy Combo. However, you want to point to that program crumbling. Gary Barnett (Colorado) Art Biles (Baylor) ... like moving up for this. Petrino? Depends on how long UofL and Arky is down.

They overlooked “Hootie” Ingram at Clemson. Although we got the Paw, his record was bad to say the least! Following “The Legend” Coach Howard did not help. He was a better AD in later years.
Go Tigers!

If not for the shining light of Tim Tebow

Urban Liar might be in jail. He would sacrifice his own children's souls to get a win. He left Florida in shambles and we all know what's happened at OSU.
He was a hell of a football coach but everything good about him stops there. You could deal drugs or run prostitution rings off the field for all he cared, so long as you produced when you were on it.

ugly nature of the Florida football program from the public. It was the ultimate misdirection where perception and reality could harder be further apart. They should really do a 30 for 30 doc on those Florida teams some day. The dichotomy between Tebow and the rest of that program is pretty fascinating.

Some of these guys weren't really that bad

but i guess they had to include some click bait.
Rich Rod #### near had West Virginia in the national title game in 2007 and i really think they would've had a legit shot at beating OSU that year. He was awesome at WVU and his offenses help to revolutionize college football. Yes he was bad at Michigan, but there's still way more positives than negatives on his resume. There are some character issues, but i think that's an entirely different list.
Also, while i agree Gene Chizik is not a good coach, you can't put anyone with a national title on the "worst coaches" list either. He deserves some credit for hiring Gus Malzahn and and managing to outbid everyone else for Cam Newton. Those two moves alone were enough to win a national title.
