changes were needed in the WR corps and 5 games to realize Ellington should be the Bell Cow at RB? Dumb founding.

"I thought Kyle Parker played his best game of the year. He was outstanding and was the player of the game." - Dabo
So...Kyle Parker played his best game of the year??! What??! He missed open receivers all day long. Scrambled out of the pocket before he even looked down field like he was scared to death of getting sacked. He's got C.H.S. (Cullen Harper Syndrome)! "Cullen Parker" better get tough so we can see Kyle Parker again!

How many QB's have we had get hurt and never be the same? 3 or 4? Not a knock on KP. If I was hurt and had defensive tackles coming after me , I'd panic too. And Cullen was all world until he hurt his sholder, we all know what happened to Korn. I hate it for those guys, but they play the most visible and hardest position in football...

EVERYONE in the world recognizes that Ellington needs to carry the load....

Too true. We have no blocking on the right side of our OL. Not too much pass blocking on that side either. The presure usually comes in over the right side, but some of the issues are the receivers aren't getting open.

How come...
Oct 10, 2010, 7:59 PM
|

it takes Swinney and Napier so long to make obvious decisions? For instance, I intuited from Game 1 that Hopkins was our most talented receiver and Dye was simply not cutting it. How come Swinney and Napier waited until last week to start Hopkins?
Further, we long knew (even from last year) that Ellington's level of play was a considerable step above Harper's. Yet, the coaches waited until the lid almost falls off the season before committing to give Number 23 more runs.
Why does it seem like the fans know more than the coaches?

What game did you see? Parker hasn't shown up since 1st half of Auburn! Not a leader! As long as he is in...less than mediocre. I am glad Ellington will get more touches. Gives less time for Parker to choke!

He did NOT say that Andre would get more touches THAN Jamie
Oct 11, 2010, 12:18 AM
|
|
For all we know, they'll give Ellington more touches but continue to split carries equally between Harper and Ellington.
The stupid thing is that we'll probably go up on UMD early, but Dabo will continue to run Ellington (getting him needlessly banged up) because he promised the fans that he would do so. It's so dumb. They should have run Ellington against the tough teams (Auburn, Miami, UNC) when Ellington was needed for season-defining games. If we put UMD away early, then I hope they retire Ellington to keep him healthy for GT, et al. In that case let Harper and McDowell get some experience.
