Picked up Sunday Greenville News at QT in Greenville

this morning. Huge color picture of the Coot Spring game on the front page of the Sports section with article (at least 70% of the front sports page). Tiny article of Orange White game at bottom of page continued to another page with a very small black/white photo of Mike Williams. Another article on that page about Rucker catching the pass at the Chicken scratch game.
What takes the cake is Clemson spent money on a huge color ad in that section celebrating it being a top twenty university. Even worse I spent $2.50 on that paper. Never again. I'm done with them. Clearly they are clueless for biting the hand that feeds them.

was probably 8 or 9 years old to read the sports page. But, after one particularly scathing article by McGranahan, I called him to say that I expected better from the local paper. He said,"If you are looking for a paper to write better articles for Clemson, you need to pick another paper". I dropped it immediately and have not missed it since. And, I refuse to read the stuff he writes for TCI either.

Spartanburg Herald isn't any better. USUCK article was much longer than the CLEMSON write up. Both papers suck.

Yes exactly!!! I was clueless that anyone still published such things as a news paper. Have they not heard of the internet. News papers, that really sounds a long time ago and forgotten, doesn't it.

I saw that also and I dropped it a while back. But, does anyone know the reason behind it? I know that coots have a journalism school and I suppose some of these reporters may have gone there.
Still, it seems like bad business not to cater to the largest demographic in your subscription area and that seems to be Clemson fans. So, sirus question, why is this? Exec editor is a coot? Sports desk editor is a coot? What?

I felt the same way this after noon to see this small article about the Tigers. what a sorry news paper. guess tomorrow they will have four pages on the great crook the liberals are running for our President.

I haven't dropped my subscription yet, but it's getting to that point. I haven't read the newspaper consistently in months. Most days it goes directly from my driveway to the recycle bin.
