I can tell you precisely when Clemson will start renaming buildings and such:
The day after it costs us a prized football recruit.
First 5* that says he decided not come to Clemson because of its history, etc. will be the event that gets enough attention that things change.
Not commenting on the merits of this one way or the other, just predicting when it will happen.

happen, I'd rather they make the change before Winthrop. Funny, theirs was formerly named Main Bldg. Maybe there's some well-meaning honors done for men of that era in the 1800's, but anything done in 50's or 60's had the wrong motivation.

We lost (1) recruit before they built the Chic-Fil-A

And he specifically said he decided against Clemson because they didn't have a Chic-Fil-A. I forget, it was years ago.
We got that fixed within a year or two. I'm sure when the score evens up and a recruit doesn't come to Clemson because of the name of a building, it will be changed.
But as of today, the score stands.
