Typical scheduling from ACC

May 21, 2017, 10:02 AM

The format favors the top seeds. They play on Thursday/Friday ( Louisville, Virginia, ) North Carolina and Wake start Wednesday. Clemson plays Duke at 7 on Tuesday and then Virginia at 11 on Friday. i would start Tyler Jackson on Tuesday in a very short leash. Try and save Barnes and the rest of the starters until Friday. In order to advance though, we have to win both games who,e Virgina just has to win only one. Not sure I like the way this format shakes down. Would rather see it go to the runs scored in the tournament than to just the higher seed gets the nod in a tiebreaker.

Tournament formats should favor the top seeds

Otherwise, the regular season is meaningless.

i think the regular season gets you your place in tournament but once the tournament starts it should be equal. Clemson could lose to Duke and beat Virginia but when all said and done Virginia will get the spot in semis because of being the higher seed. Just do not agree.

Dude, she's right. A format where beating a team and finishing

with equal pool record but that team advancing makes no sense.

It's our own fault. We shouldn't have gone 1-8 in our past 9 ACC games to cost us a top 4 seed. Otherwise we would be the team winning the tiebreaker and everybody would love it

Step one make sure format favors UNC. Step two make sure location favors UNC. Step three make sure commish favors UNC. Repeat for each sport.

Baseball in Kentucky. Basketball in New York. Football in Charlotte which makes perfect sense. I don't see how people still think Swofford does everything in favor of UNC. North Carolina is the perfect meeting point for all teams so that's why conference tourneys were there for years in most sports

The format stinks, but

I think the schedule is ok. We just need to play it like a normal regular schedule weekend. Tuesday is the "mid-week" game, then we start the weekend series on Friday. All hands on deck on Tuesday since we have 2 complete rest days. Could work out perfectly. Just win!
