Chris Stapleton.

And APM has concluded that ol' Sturg has been left in the dust by Stapleton. Not even close.

Here's hoping Sturg can mount a comeback.

Why put them in the same sentence? Their styles are

completely different. Stapleton is a good soundtrack for whiskey drankin and wrist slitting. Sturgill is a good soundtrack for getting stoned.

hee hee, and that's why I originally preferred ol' Sturg.

More my style.

But musically, Stapleton is just better.

Yes, they are different but both are lumped in a "new outlaw country".

I'm not quite sure why Stapleton is considered "outlaw"

I agree with Rob. These guy's styles are different

I don't listen to Sturgill to much. But Stapleton is when I want to get drunk and do some loving.

JJ is when I want to get drunk and fight.

Both talented, but Sturgill is doin his own thing,

Jan 4, 2019, 1:47 PM

paving some new ground, and Stapleton is just following the road map of the old country greats...nothing original.

If there were any justice in the world, we would be griping about Stapleton sounding like everything else on country radio, instead of acting like he's this new sound that's blowing people's minds, but such is the state of modern country.

Both good tho.
