The good is that as much publicity as Jennings and Booker got, the most consistent players we had on offense and defense as the season progressed were Roper and KJ. I look forward to seeing them improve next year. Also, the lack of offense overshadowed the fact that our defense performed well all season.
The bad is that Jennings and Booker never really lived up to their billing coming out of high school. Not only did they not improve year over year, but I never really saw them become leaders on the team. I wish them the best and appreciate their play, but I think their departure can bring a fresh start.
The ugly is that I've never seen a team so consistently bad at the same aspects of the game. In each game, you could count on 1. a scoring drought of 6-7 minutes 2. a double digit lead evaporate within minutes 3. a lack of production at the end of the half and 4. mistakes on offense coming out of timeouts.
I think we'll be better next year because a lot of the mistakes (other than free throws) are mental. I believe in BB and our players and hope he gets it corrected.
