Strange plays

After watching Ray Ray drop the ball a yard short, then the young man from SC State just flip the ball away in the end zone, then the interception by GT, fumbled for a safety.... It got me to thinking, what is the strangest play that you have ever seen involving Clemson? Not a trick play like punt rookie, just a weird play.I remember a punt against Maryland in the 80s at Byrd stadium that actually ended up going for negative yards due to the wind. A field goal that Duke kicked against us in 1976 that hit the crossbar and bounced over. What was weird about that you may ask... the Duke kicker had never kicked a field goal of over 30 yards, this was from 56.Any way, what about your "strange play"? Just trying to pass the time until Saturday night... God bless and GO TIGERS!

Our game against UGA in early 80's, game tied and Danny

called a timeout for Igwibeikae to attempt a 61 yard field goal. He called it too early, with 10 seconds left, and when Iggy missed, UGA had time to attempt a 59 yarder, which Butler made to win the game as time expired.

I do remember, as Butler trotted onto the field for his attempt, everyone around me was complaining about us allowing UGA enough time after Iggy's kick, for one more play. Seems like it was fourth down, but Danny had called timeout with about 10 seconds to go, to get Iggy on the field instead of letting the clock run down a few more seconds.

and throwing an interception at the goal line in the last minute that the Kentucky DB fumbled right back to us. Sapp then proceeded to hit Terry Smith for the game winning TD. TIGERS 14-UK 13.

Andre Ellington rolling over a tacklers body and going another 50 yards after never touching the ground against Auburn in 2012.

While pulling to block on a sweep, OG Harry Olzewski catches a fumble from our RB in mid air and runs it in for a TD. It was so smooth it actually looked like a lateral.

Clemson once won a game an OT game by NINE points

how did we do that???
Against Duke in 1997, regulation ended in a tie 20-20.
Clemson got the ball first and kicked a FG (23-20) Then, Duke threw an INT to Rahim Abdullah, who ran it back for a TD.
Final Score: 29-20.

1993 Peach Bowl

In Tommy West's 1st game, Clemson had the ball driving for a TD down 13-7 with a minute left when they get picked off, which should have cost them the game. Kentucky fumbles the ball back to Clemson on the INT return, and Clemson scores the winning TD a few plays later.

One play, a fumble at the goal line and return for TD, completely turned the momentum from a likely win to a miserable rout
