The bottom line is, did you beat anybody or were all/most of your glorious victories against “dregs” ? Coming close does not count either. The moral victory view is, while good for ones self-esteem, does not mean squat either in this cold cruel world.

Actual bottom line is:

"Do you appeal to the committee members enough to pick you?"

No logical line of thinking whether it be NET, rpi, quality wins, SOS, or anything else can be followed without exceptions.

Bottom line: The committee picks who they want in and then they seed them.
