At Oklahoma if you miss class or make bad grades or are late to meetings or loaf in practice you have to answer to a group of football players, not Stoops? And this was only implemented by players this year not previously. On one hand this sounds like great senior leadership, yet on the other it sounds a tad like the inmates run the OU asylum? Also, players (not coaches) getting notification from the "academic folks" at OU about other players academic performance (ie attendance, bad grades) is a complete violation of privacy laws? Is it not? It absolutely would be in SC!
I think those comments speak volumes of the difference in Dabo's program and how he's developing young men vs the OU model. OU may well beat us on the strength of this style of "leadership" ...as rogue as it may or may not be, but if you're a parent of a D1 recruit which program do you want to send your student athlete to?
