When you make a post, one or more people respond to it, and then you delete it, the OP remains with “Message Removed by Author.”

At least I think that works for everybody.

I guess if you whine enough you can get mods to delete it when things go south.

I believe the mods intentionally did it for accountability. Actually I think it might have been a response to inappropriate LBOD or thing people knew were off limits and delete them before they got caught.

But this isn't the first time that one particular poster has done this.

Balm will write some inflammatory things and delete within the thread. He does it all the time. Or he will say something totally inappropriate and then get some replies and then change his initial post to make you look like you are insane for the response.

He is the biggest dirtbag of all
