So, does this mean he will not be making it to Clemson? Isn't there a rule that we do not take JUCO's? Would hate it if true, really think this kid flew under the radar and was going to be a stud.

If you can't get eligible in a SC high school...ouch!!

The state isn't exactly ranked up there in education, plus he's was a small school with tons of available help. Don't think he would have been able to survive at Clemson very long. Sounds as if needed the JUCO prep time.

Why not a school like Hargrave instead of the JUCO right? Is there a difference?

yes, there is a difference, Junior college is still college and therefore you lose eligibility. Places like Hargrave are preporatory schools to prepare students for college, no loss of NCAA years of eligibility

plus, you go to hargrave if you're "close" to qualifying...you go to JUCO if you're not.

Sad that this young man didn't make the grades, and I wish him well. This does open up another spot for next year, though, and the success we are having with the high profile players we have committed probably will have a lot more high profile athletes looking our way now. I hope all the young guys out there learn a lesson from this. Don't let bad study habits steal your dream. Hit the books and make the grades!

I guess that if he wants to stay in SC, that he will be going to the institute in Columbia
