Seriously, what is our basketball identity?

Jan 20, 2017, 5:52 PM

With Rick Barnes you knew we were gonna beat you up physically. Cliff Ellis' teams always had strong low post presence. OP was gonna press you nonstop. What is exactly Brownell's identity? What's the one thing we hang our hats on night in and night out under Coach Brownell? Prior to this year it was stubborn half court defense. This year we just don't seem to have identity.

We don't really have one.

But, our defense was bad last year too. We have not been a particularly good perimeter defensive team under Brownell. We lack size and athleticism at the guard spot. These last two years, we have not been a good low post defensive team either. KJ and Nnoko were good basket protectors and made up for some of our perimeter shortcomings, but Nnoko could not stay out of foul trouble his last two years.

Mediocre at best but we accept it because of football

We show-up to all of the appointments but we just can't seem to close the deal.

Unknown at this this time! It disappears when needed in the critical stages of a season after periods of success!

Brownell never seems to be able to sustain any motivation and the ability to finish either way.

Go Tigers!

This year in the ACC, its stay close till the last three minutes, then begin chucking 3s with 25 seconds left on the shot clock.
