SEC most impacted by long holdout

Mar 30, 2020, 9:38 AM

With football on hold I have little doubt that our players are training daily and self motivated to prepare for the 2020 season. The type of players Clemson recruits and year after year leadership within the team pushing for excellence.

I'm not sure the same can be said of our SEC friends around the south. From LSU's "cramping" in the Peach Bowl to UGA's 5* lack of focus each season we see examples of SEC lack of work ethic. Look no further than bowl season to see how quickly SEC players no longer want to be there.

It is not measurable but I believe Clemson has a leg up on the competition in the off season. This program is built this time of year and that will only be amplified as the delay continues.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
