"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo Galilei.
Taggart can assuredly recruit his tail off. He got the players at Western Kentucky. He built South Florida into a monster. He had the #6 class in the country built there at Oregon right now.
Just to judge from his resume, though, he's better off stocking the fridge than he actually is coaching the team. He tends to load his teams up for the next guy, but he himself actually has a sub-.500 record as a coach. And he very nearly got himself fired at USF before he turned it around.
I dunno. Maybe this flies, maybe it doesn't. Is recruiting at FSU really the problem? Other big thing to consider is, Taggart runs an up-tempo HUNH, same as us, actually, and he in no way has the QB's for it, and the players at that school were actually recruited into FSU's system with the fact that it was a distinctly pro-style system as a big selling point.
