Based on a quick Google search, it would not appear that he has landed anywhere, yet.

Judge, this reminds me of the ol Southern gal who went to a yankee school and asked some of the sorority sisters, where is the library at. She was then told not to end the sentence with at. She then rephrased the question. Where is the library, bit*h.

Anyone needs to be aware of their grammar. I teach and tutor at a local college. One never gets a second chance to make a good impression.

We are not talking accents we are talking about proper grammar. Correctness is the same everywhere. Like it or not, you are often judged by your use of grammar. This is especially true in your writing. Nothing wrong with being educated! Ain’t that True?

Actually the dialects spoken in the South, especially in the Southern Appalachians, are closer to “the King’s English” in vocabulary (particularly the vernacular), syntax & pronunciation than anything you hear in the Northeast. Forget about the Midwest - their speech has no identity.
I’m proud of my Southern accent. It’s funny though, in England folks thought I was from New Zealand.

LL - you must have never been around damyankees (yes - it's ONE word). I've never known one that did not make fun of southerners and their way of talking. So that is why we differentiate. Bless your heart.

What does proper grammar have to do being northern or southern?
I get the joke but the stereo types being used are flawed
I think the "stereo types" being used are Sony, Panasonic, RCA, Bose, etc.

Ending sentences with a preposition: that is something we should not put up with... wait, I mean that is something with which we should not put up... wait, I mean that is something up with which we should not put!

When someone asks “Can I help you?” I want to politely say, “I don’t know, but you may help me!”
There are a select few instances where ending a sentence with a preposition is actually understood as acceptable, but using ”at” isn’t one of them.
The original question, “Where did Tucker Israel end up transferring?” would be proper.
There are Thirty-two recognized Southern dialects or speech patterns. In South Carolina we have several from Clemson to Charleston and in between!
Recognize the significance and be proud because outside of perhaps New England, the South still possesses cultural identity and uniqueness.
Go Tigers!
