If they do they better do it before the kickoff , because after that the fight will quickly be taken out of them .

Well you would hope they would learn from last year to not try all the early cheap shots, that's only going to pile on to the onslaught coming their way. That's usually how they act when they know they have no chance on the field.

There isn't a doubt in my mind...

they will try to bait or flop Clemson into a personal foul penalty.

Anyone see the end of the u5c/Florida game? A bunch of undisciplined wannabe thugs.

The team doesn't bother me, it's the drunkards who follow the team who concern me!

Don't think they're even tough enough to try this year.

But I never put anything past those dirt peckin' fools.

Yeah, we'll whip them on the scoreboard, on the...

No because

1) The condition preceding that 2004 fight are not going to be present: emotional about Lou leaving and frustrated about losing and the embarrassment the year before. They already had two big #### kickings already going to three and they should be used to it by now with 5 in a row.

2) They don't have Syvelle Newton or anyone like him I believe...but I could be wrong.

3) I believe they acted out of frustration in the Florida game because they knew they shat away a sure win.

4) Have you see the size of our players vs theirs? They'd be nuts to do it.

Muscoot said that Belk was almost ready to come back. I absolutely expect him to play against us. Playing against us and there bowl game (maybe), he will still be able to redshirt.

*L* It was a Usc fan who wrote that article.

Just sayin'.

Different now. I doubt the ACC or any P5 conference

would allow a member to forfeit their shot at a playoff bowl $$$$ even if a brawl occurred now.

The way the coots defense gets man handled I don’t think a brawl with our players would turn out well for them.

Can't afford to lose any players for that all-important bowl eligibility game against Akron.

No. Will they try something? Don't know but I doubt it. Would Clemson respond? Possibly, but hope not. Keep us out of Playoff? No chance. When you look at 2004 incident, what I recall and seems to be confirmed on Wiki is this caveat: "However, both schools imposed a punishment of their own". Both teams were well outside of the national title picture that year. This year - Clemson is in the thick of it. SC is hoping for a Hootie concert and a Birmingham Bowl repeat. Not even close to the same situation. No way would Clemson self-induce a punishment to keep the team out of the playoff. No way.

Not as far fetched as you might think. I've seen a few instances this year (at Kentucky, their coaches having to step in and stop players from taunting after a game [still looking for that video] and most recently by shoving QB down in victory formation at loss to Florida).

Their coaches apparently can't or won't reign it in...so by the 4th qtr. they will be sick and tired of getting their backsides handed to them surrounded by a sea of orange...they could snap.

Combine that with potential non-trip to bowl game and all it takes is a few rouge players to try and start something like that. However, as opposed to Bowden...Dabo and Co. will be all over this ahead of the game and make sure our boys know not to retaliate.
