When you have a great player, other top tier programs are going to come knocking. Consider it a compliment to Clemson University's growing success.

Clemson but wants to go visit other schools in order to enjoy the recruiting process, because it's a once-in-a-lifetime event. Basically, it let's him travel the country and meet lots of great coaches (like Urban Meyer).

I think he's very much ours to lose.

They know when/how to:
Cut him loose
Cement the commitment
Begin looking around. (And I am sure Watson is not the only QB in 2014 they have talked to.)

Watching recruiting is fun, but I take it all with a very large grain of salt. These coaches know 1000 times more about recruiting than I would ever learn in a lifetime.

I only want guys who want to play for Clemson. if they don't honor their commitment, cut em loose like Dabo says. It's an honor to play for Clemson and they should respect it.

If he is enjoying the recruiting process and Dabo hasn't already pulled the offer, then the coaches have already discussed this with the kid. Let him enjoy this opportunity while he can. How else is he supposed to know the greatest football school if he doesn't see the lesser campuses?
