I save those orange cups we get at the ball games, you know, the ones that hold five pounds of ice and one ounce of coke. No, they are not a collectors item but they are always a hot item to pass along to alums and friends of other schools. There may be a few who don't want one but those are the rare exception. This gives me an opportunity to brag about the Tigers. Most of my relatives pull for the Tigers when we are not playing their school.
That box of orange cups will be going with me to Charleston later this month to attend a wedding. A great nephew who is a graduate of The Citadel is marrying a young lady who is a graduate of the College of Charleston. He is from a Chicago suburb and she is from a New York City suburb. Virtually all of the guests will be from out-of-town. There will be graduates from The Citadel, College of Charleston, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Illinois, East Tennessee State, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Auburn, Winthrop, Duke and a bunch of other Schools.
Then I will re-load that box and head for a wedding at Walloon Lake, Michigan, on Oct 5. This is a great niece who was considerate enough to schedule her wedding on the weekend we play BYE. Walloon Lake is close to Lake Michigan in the upper part of the state. I'm hoping they don't have an early winter.
So, we can put those orange cups to good use and spread a little Tiger cheer along the way.
