This thread from coot forum is a perfect example of

how they talk about how good the SEC is and the closer it gets to actually lining up and playing, the more they find excuses as to why the SEC thing might not be enough. All you hear in off-season is how the SEC is better top to bottom and how even the bad teams in the SEC are better than the better teams in other conferences. I also like the one about no matter who you play in the SEC, you are going to have a tough time. No easy outs in the SEC as well as SEC speed and SEC type defense, etc.

Now time for them to play South Florida and they are saying things like "this is an unfair matchup" and "This team is a lot better than Tennessee and Missouri". I though just any team in the SEC would be an unfair matchup for anyone else.

Your post is a good example of making things up.

from the coots... "Better for us we are facing a team with a much better record. For motivational purposes. I always fear when we play a team with a similar record from a lesser conference (UCONN) because the SEC factor mentally works against us. I hope the underdog role helps this team."

perfect example...

Go Tigers!!!

because it would be totally and completely out of character

for you worm-pulling capons to have a grossly over-inflated opinion of your team and your conference and then contrive a whole litany of lame-a$$ excuses when reality doesn't correspond with your deluded expectations (rolling eyes).

they can get and then brag about their record. I can't say that I blame the Coots as they have nothing to brag about.
Others in the SEC are a shame of them.

Going back to 2008 (when the SEC was in the mist of their impressive run), games vs. Bama, LSU, Auburn (arguably the SEC's best teams):

SC - 1-8
CU - 3-3

We've beaten auburn 3 times and LSU once during that stretch so we actually have 4 wins versus those teams. Hopefully 5 here in a few weeks

This thread is why I called the SEC "the sorry excuse conference" this year. Usuck always seem to have an excuse for any loss, especially a non-conference loss. Clemson's margin against Usuck as the largest SEC non-conference loss galls the coots.

Go Tigers!

With USUC fans, it's never too early to start making excuses for losing.

Once again '09, please list the things that are untrue in his statement. You, of all people, should never call someone out for making things up. Most of what you harp on is pure fiction.

All they have left is saban. Once we dethrone him the conference will fall.

"Our defense needs to play lights out."

Haha! That is too funny that this guy believes that they have that ability.
