The good news is that Alabama doesn't win Natty's

Jul 24, 2018, 11:40 AM

in even numbered years ...

well, except 2012 ... I'm sure that was a fluke ... oh yeah, that was the B.S. year where they put LSU and Bama in a rematch ... so that one doesn't count.

Its an even numbered year boys! No stopping us now!

That was 2011. Oklahoma state should not have lost to a 6-7 Iowa State team. Their fault not the BCS or ESPN.

One game does not define a season

We lost to Pitt (8-5) and Syracuse (4-8) the last two years.

Which is why there is a playoff in place now

Jul 24, 2018, 12:20 PM

Without a playoff you're likely picking 1 (or 2) teams from a pool of 5 to 6 teams with a single loss and an argument for being there.

At least we played in and won our Conference championship game. Skipping out on that was a huge advantage for the Gumps. Twice.

Last year, all Wisky had to do was beat O31O State and Bama was out.

2011 was the rematch

2012 they obliterated ND. That game was over in the 1st quarter.
