Does not seem all that long ago that Conservatives were mocking Sweden for being a leftist country with a terrible socialist healthcare system.
The Swedes are far healthier than Americans, and in general people who live in northern climates have significantly lower incidence of heart disease.
and of course, I really do not get your point. Nothing you can say changes the fact that we are at 203k and counting, and are STILL losing people at a clip of about 1k per day.

So you are saying if the US had not been wearing masks and distancing this entire time, we would be doing better? Is this what I am reading?

This welch and troll is probably going to hop in the pool, then do some surf fishing around Dusk Over at Jensen beach. I use my Drone to drop the Bait out about 100 yards, been catching lots of Reds.
what is going on with you in Detroit?

uh, I do not need the governor's permission to hop into my pool, or go surf fishing at the beach. All he did was open restaurants back to 100% capacity, our beaches and restaurants were open all summer.

No so fast grasshopper. Sweden's Case Fatality Rate (percentage of deaths per positive cases) is 6.5%, while the U.S. has a 2.9% Case Fatality Rate. Is this because of healthier people, a great non- government controlled medical system or a president that drove the country to success?
Maybe all 3 played a part!

T3,
Big questions remain, however, about the Swedish approach, which has been bitterly contested by some within and outside Sweden. While polls show most Swedes back it, critics have accused Tegnell and Sweden’s public health agency of stubbornly ignoring both scientific evidence and some WHO recommendations.
In May, the country recorded the most Covid-19 deaths per capita in Europe. Its toll per million inhabitants remains 10 times higher than that of Norway and Finland, although lower than Spain and Italy.
Nearly half Sweden’s 5,878 deaths occurred in care homes, leading to angry accusations that the country had failed to protect its most vulnerable – in effect, sacrificing the elderly so as not to overwhelm intensive care beds. The government has admitted to serious failings in the care sector.
While there are now signs the number of new infections is rising again and authorities have said new restrictions in Stockholm are possible,

T3,
I know this is not data, but using Sweden is a bit misleading. They did not mandate masks, social distancing, etc. but their people followed their scientific expert's advice about such things voluntarily (far more so than the US).
Here's an article with stats comparing Sweden with other Scandinavian countries (apples to apples) https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/87812
Here's an article with a number of stats about the number of states where covid cases are on the rise (again) https://www.healthline.com/health-news/here-are-the-states-where-covid-19-is-increasing
And here is some data specifically about rising Covid cases on college campuses and the surrounding areas. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/here-are-the-states-where-covid-19-is-increasing
PS: I can understand your skepticism about the WHO. They have had a difficult time hitting a moving target with conflicting information from a number of nations. However, if you are going to be skeptical of them, you have to provide me with another credible source of better information - someone who clearly has more expertise and has done a better job of predicting the consequences of this virus.

of the EU nations made sense. I suggest last week that comparing some of the EU nations with similar populations to US states with several similarities might be more informative. Imo, populations and geographical size should be considered to accurately compare population densities.
Percentage of population tested along with accuracy of test and accuracy of reporting also must be considered to compare or contrast. Total numbers of deaths otherwise makes no sense.

People can believe what they want. But facts are stubborn things.
Of 146 countries, Sweden has the 14th highest per capita Covid death rate based on deaths per 100,000 population.

If wearing a mask upsets someone that badly, then the mask isn't the problem.
I guess there have been some over-aggressive responses to not wearing a mask, but is it really that big of a deal?
