Honestly, this would be a disaster for us.

If anyone should be worried it's the Big 12.

If that's the case

why even have a meeting about expansion / alliance options. The stabiilty of the Big12 is NOT cemented.
If it was, they would stay at 10 teams. Why would they want to split the money wiht more teams?

the Big 12.
All the ACC needs is Notre Dame to join and ACC will be set.

conference would be staggering.
As much as I dislike ND, if they would add their football program the ACC would have a marketing advantage. Whether or not Swofford can leverage that is another topic altogether...

I think ND will holdout until they have a NC game pass

them by at least once. I know the selection committee is bound by instruction to give special consideration to conference champs. The CCG will add an additional win to the conference champs' resume too.
I can see the SEC having more than one team and ND getting ignored due to lacking the extra game and a conference championship.
It just comes down to how long they can hold out.

More likely,
Kansas and Mizzo to Big 10
Oklahoma and Ok. St to Pac 12
Texas independent or SEC
ND to ACC

Well you cannot travel to BC & Cuse in the same season

Cannot travel to Pitt & Miami in the same season. Rarely will you travel to Pitt & Miami anyway.
And Notre Dame is a huge matchup, so that's on the same page of an @Texas or @Oklahoma.

Pretty funny how some people think UNC would join Maryland and UVA to go to the Big 10. That is the dumbest thing I have heard in about 4-5 years.

but ... if B1G takes UVA and UNC .. then SEC takes VT and NCST .. it would be in our best interest to go with remaining football schools to the Big 12 ... If ACC stays in tact, so be it. My preferences in order are 1. SEC 2. ACC w/ ND 3. ACC as is 4. Big 12

The most likely scenario is
Jan 31, 2013, 5:32 PM
|
|
is Oklahoma and Kansas going to the SEC.
Texas going independent.
B1G raiding the Big East.
ACC staying intact and adding Notre Dame fulltime.
Big 12 imploding.
Remember: Nebraska, Missouri and Colorado left the Big 12.

I think with the new AD and us being football first we will be in the conf. Best for us in the long haul, either one.
