Serious Question for Tigers satisfied with 10-2 this year

Nov 25, 2012, 12:00 AM

What do Utah State, San Jose State, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Fresno State, Louisville, Louisina Tech, Kent State, North Dakota State, San Diego State, Central Fla, Tulsa, Ark State and Ball State all have in common?

They are all ranked higher on 2012 Sagarin Ratings than every Clemson opponent we beat this year. Higher than all our opponents except SC and FSU. Even with any Sagarin disclaimer we can reach for, this says it all about the quality of our 10-2 season and the strenghth of our ACC opponents.

No honest Tiger player, coach or fan should get excited about the 10 wins this year.

Theres nothing wrong with being proud of this team for beating the teams on their schedule. ..cmon man. The question is why anyone would think Clemson should remain in the ACC. Its a weak weak conference and Clemson football cannot get any better remaining a part of it.
