SC wants to make up the Marshall game on 12-1 but..

SC wants to make up the Marshall game on 12-1 but the High School league championships are all played in the dead roach on that date.
We should be actively making a "good will gesture" to the coots. Let's just move those high school games to the valley, and offer some selective free tours of the facilities.

The location of the High Football Championship games...

should rotate to a different venue annually.
I'm sure schools like Furman, Coastal, and Wofford would agree.

Poor USCe! Their game got cancelled and now they want Marshall to help make-up the contest despite the fact Marshall offered to host them in the first place. HS championships could be played elsewhere, but if the chickens lose enough games to not qualify for a bowl it won't matter. Muscrap and Tanner better hope they can survive enough to make a six and six record because their team certainly isn't going to the "Sorry Excuse Conference" championship game unless they buy tickets.
USCe needs the money to pay for the new football operations center which supposedly rivals anything previously built, but it doesn't need a trophy room because they don't have but one in over 120 years of playing! Good luck discussing the current significance of the 1969 ACC trophy to an eighteen year old recruit.
Go Tigers!

One additional aspect that is particularly interesting...

in addition to cancelling the Marshall game, the University of Slaughtered Chickens also cancelled classes for most of last week (Tuesday through Friday).
However, that apparently didn't apply to the football team who were able to remain at school, weather the storm, and use the extra week to practice and prepare for Vandy.

The last time high school championship football games

were played in Death Valley (something I have long been outspoken about), the backlash from ALL chickenfans associated with HS football was remarkable. usuck wants to maintain a vise-like grip on the upper level HS championshipn games and keep them in Williams-Brice as an additional, lengthy, uncounted recruiting visit. Phil Kornblut got so upset, he called Tommy Bowden "A Coward" on the air for even suggesting the 4A and 5A championships be held in Clemson JUST ONCE. The chickens organized committees of fans to petition the SCHSSA to deny the proposal, and when it passed anyhow, there was much negative backlash aimed at Clemson in both the print and broadcast media. It was evangelically preached that the undue extra expenses were too much to bear for the families of HS football players and their schools to journey to Clemson to play in the championship game although the state reimburses the schools for costs of championship trips.
Games were played that one year in DV and every one associated with them reported a great experience.
So, it only happened the one time although now, some of the lower classifications rotate their championship gamesto other stadiums (some have been held at SCSt) The chickens have been using this championship tourney for recruiting for decades and are fearful of losing the state-sanctioned advantage. Further rotation experiments will result in similar responses from chickenfans, I believe.
