Their safeties always get drafted higher than ours.
CB might be even but I think we have the best tandem in the country. Our lower drafted safeties will probably out play theirs too.

If their OLine is better than ours, then why did they give up 31 sacks vs our 13?

We also get more yards per rush than they do.
Juuuuuuust sayin’.

Well at the elite 11. But then Georgia screwed him up so now Trevor Lawrence is better.

My take

QB - even. I'm not saying JF = TL. I mean in the system OSU runs, Fields runs it as well and is as productive as TL is in ours.
RB - even - Dobbins is a freak, maybe a hair better than TE. However, our 2 guy, LJD, better than anybody they have.
OL - Clemson
TE- OSU
WR - Clemson
DL - OSU. Number two alone makes them more of an issue.
LB- OSU
CB/S - Clemson, yes even with Muse
Special teams - OSU
Coaching - Clemson
I know fans think what fans always think, we are better than anyone in the universe. This is a good match up and should be a good game.

I would change Osu to secondary and clemson to linebacker advantage. Secondary is the most talented group the buckeyes have. Linebacker is the biggest weakness on the buckeyes defense and Simmons is enough to make clemson better.

I'm not saying that you are wrong, but have you played a quarterback this year that could really challenge your secondary? The best one that I can think of off the top of my head is Shea Patterson and he wouldn't be honorable mention all-ACC, much less any other conference.

Lyn J has about the same rushing stats and double the receiving as Teague. Not sure how you could argue that Teague is better.

They are really talented. The only 3 positions where I know we are better are QB, WR, and LB due to Simmons. Its not like Fields isnt a stud though.

Very subjective because we simply don't play the same types of teams in the regular season. OSU plays a set of teams that rely primarily on the run, and have defenses that are set up to defend the run. We on the other hand are just the opposite. We play teams that pass more, have better overall speed, and have defenses that are more geared to play against passing attacks.
OSU will have a hard time defending our passing attack .... and don't forget that TL can run when he wants to. I think our defense will have a decent shot at shutting down Mr Fields and company. Remember this ...... Unless you think Georgia's coaching staff is full of idiots, they knew that Fromm was better than Fields.

Actually, I think two things can be true at the same time; UGA's coaching staff (mainly Kirby) is full of idiots AND Justin Fields is better than Fromm.

In a 1980’s offense Fromm > Fields

In a real Modern Offense Fields is a beast.
Dobbins is the issue, if we can’t stop him we are in for a down to the wire game or an L. If we can, it might get ugly quick.
Anything can, and will, happen, and I certainly do not like the fact that we own them 3-0 all time and 31-0 last time as they will be bringing all they got and then some.
Day is a legit schemer/playcaller also so get ready for a lot of whatever has worked against us in the past including the shovel pass and safeties isolated in juan on juan coverage.

QB: Clemson RB: Clemson WR: Clemson TE: Ohio State OL: Clemson
DL: Ohio State LB: Clemson CB: Clemson S: Ohio State
Their have really really good players on defense. Chase Young is the best DE in the country, and will be a top 3 pick. Jeffery Okudah might be the best DB in the country, and will be a top 15 pick. Shaun Wade and Damon Arnette are two CBs that will probably be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. They don't have an elite LB, so getting Braden back at TE will be huge for us because they don't have a LB that can cover him. Outside of Young, nobody else on their Dline really scares you.
Offensively, JK Dobbins will be a day 2 pick. They don't have any WRs that scare you, but the are shiftier guys. Look for them to exploit Tanner in the passing game. Justin Fields is really talented, but from what I've seen, he isn't the best thrower of the football. If we shut down his legs, and force him to throw, I doubt that he can be successful against our back 7.
We desperately need our Dline to play their best game over these next two possible games. They have been very underwhelming in their ability to rush the passer so far this year.
Tyler Davis: 4.5 sacks Justin Foster: 3 sacks Jordan Williams: 2.5 sacks Xavier Thomas: 2 sacks KJ Henry: 2 sacks Logan Rudolph: 1 sack Nyles Pinckney: 1 sack
We really need XT to step up in the playoffs. He's too talented of a player to only have 2 sacks on the season. I think he's our X factor, pun intended.

Great post Leon although others who know much more about football than I do have stated that judging the d-line by the number of sacks in a 3-man front should be a criterion for how well they are playing - any thoughts on that?
