Noticed on the Sports Illustrated cover

They cropped out the Florida state player Watson was still arming, to make it look like he was just striking the heisman during a game.

Not necessarily, the shot could have been milliseconds before

Deshaun's hand made contact with the FSU player. As someone who has done a lot of photography, don't assume what you see has, or has not, been photoshopped.

It's two photos of the same event

In one you can clearly see the other Tiger player's hand on his leg. In the McInnis shot the FSU defender's hand is blocking that angle.
Who cares? Other than McInnis, but that could be one of his as well. These sports photogs take 1,000s of shots per game. There were probably 50 or more snaps just during that 2 second move by Watson.

I think you are correct.

If you notice the TigerNet shot everyone is comparing the SI shot to, in the TigerNet shot in which he has engaged the FSU player his left arm is extended. In the SI shot his left arm is not extended.
And the two photos are from very different angles.

Look at the two side by side

His legs aren't in the same exact place, the background player is in a different position, the background isn't the exact same either.
Very similar shots, but not the same.

How are you spinning this into something negative? Seriously
Nov 10, 2015, 1:44 PM

... the FSU player on a cover picture would be distracting. It is obvious by the picture that he struck the heisman pose in the process of stiff arming a player on a run.
We have a Heisman front runner on the cover of sports illustrated.... can we not be the media victim in this instance, please?

The Heisman statue pose is that way because it's a common way to carry the ball and stiff arm an opponent.

look at the left foot of the fsu player. These are not the same picture. In SI version, you can see the back of his shoe and his gloved hand is seen. In the other version, DW's foot is covering the back of fsu player's foot and the hand with the glove is not there. You can the the nike swoosh on his sock, but not in SI version. SI pic is taken right before the fsu player got there. DW's face is different on both pics. Dw's left foot is in different positions. The other Clemson player's foot is different in the pics. No way it is the same pic

This is an absolute retarded complaint. I think the cover looks fantastic. The photo could have been snapped a millisecond before the player got to Watson.
