Heads bloated by press clippings and Sammyless. Basically

Dabo didn't have the boys ready to play due to over-confidence.

uh - weren't we missing Sammy, and maybe Ellington? That's HUGE.

This year we have better talent, and most are healthy. I hope NCSU thinks it's going to be easy.

Plus - we're at HOME this year. Big difference.

The same thing that led to all of our other losses last year.

We make a few mistakes. Get down by a score or two. We abandon the running game. Boyd presses and makes bad decisions, has 3 and outs, and turns the ball over. Opposing defense knows we're going to abandon the running game and they pin their ears back to get to Boyd. And our defense isn't good enough to make up for the lost field position/momentum. And our tempo goes out the window.

The playcalling, O-line play, and TB need to be on their game for us to win. Run the football. Get Boyd acclimated early and get the high throws out of his system, and just kick ###.

All those NCSU points didn't help.

This wasn't a constructive response, was it?

Hmmm...

Turnovers
No Sammy
No running game (was AE hurt?)

null

Back to back fumbles to start the 2nd quarter and a big

punt return shortly after that allowed them to start 3 scoring drives inside our 20.

Aside from the above, we had already clinched the division

and just weren't focused, while I believe they were attempting to get bowl eligible. Throw in the lack of Sammy on offense, which was a bigger deal last year than this year, and all the turnovers, that's how it happened.

This year will be different.

Trick plays, abandoning the run, not enough TE***

Fans were not loud enough and there seemed to be a lack of focus....

Not showing up is the main reason

Also giving them the ball inside our 20 3 times doesn't help

Phillip Price being out, and Kevin Steele as our Dcoord***
